Gadget Insurance is a cost effective way to insure those everyday gadgets and electronic items that we never leave the house without! Many of us do not realise the value of the every day items carried in our briefcase / handbag. It’s only when something goes wrong and we have to replace these products that we understand the true value, both personally and financially of our every day gadgets.

Theft – including unattended theft from a secure vehicle / secure premises, optional loss (available on all items except laptops and iPads), Extended Warranty, Accidental Damage (including Liquid Damage), International Cover, Free 3GB Data Backup & Guarantees a 48 Hour replacement.

We offer insurance on Laptops, Mobile Phones, iPhones, iPods/MP3 players, Game consoles, Handheld Games consoles, PDA's, Satelite Navigation systems, Cameras and Camera lenses, Camcorders, Bluetooth headsets, DVD players, iPads, In-car computers, Headphones and earphones, Home cinema systems and Flat screen TV's.

Yes. There is an excess fee for all successful claims which must be paid before your claim can be approved. If you purchased your policy after 30/06/2010 and your policy is for a laptop, there is a £75 excess fee for each claim. If your claim is for an iPhone, the excess fee is £50 for any claim. For all other items, there is an excess fee of £25. Any loss claims will incur a further £25 excess fee.

If you purchased your policy before 30/06/2010 then please refer to your terms and conditions.

In the event of a claim you will need to provide receipts for all items you are claiming for. The receipt must be in the same family name.

The item must be less than 36 months old from the date it was purchased as new. If the insured item is a laptop, it must be under 6 months old when the policy is started.

In the event of a claim you must:

• Report the theft / loss to the police within 24 hours of discovery
• Report the theft / loss of a mobile phone / PDA to your Service Provider immediately, but in any case within 12 hours of discovery
• If your claim relates to a faulty item, the faulty item must be provided
• Contact us within 48 hours of discovery of any claim

Failure to comply with the above may result in your claim being delayed or rejected.
Once all the requested information has been received we will process your claim within 48 hours.

Gadget insurance is arranged by Protect your bubble, underwritten by Fortis Insurance Limited, and administered on their behalf by Supercover Insurance Ltd. Fortis Insurance Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

An administration fee of £10 will be charged.
