Apple’s new flagship phones are coming soon, so we’ve sifted through the digital rumour-mill to bring you all the latest info. Enjoy!

When will the iPhone 11 be released?

The annual Apple iPhone announcement event is happening on Tuesday September 10th.

We predict the iPhone 11 will be available for pre-order soon after that; likely Friday 13th September 2019 (unless they’re feeling superstitious).

If they repeat the pattern of last year’s rollout, it’ll hit the shelves a week later, on Friday 20th September.

How many versions of the iPhone 11 will there be?

We expect Apple to release three version of the iPhone 11 in September: the standard iPhone 11, the cheaper iPhone 11R and the premium iPhone 11 Max. Display sizes are likely to range from 5.8 to 6.7 inches respectively.

There’s a rumour swirling that we might also see an iPhone 11 Pro with 5G, a super-sized foldable screen and a stylus, but don’t hold your breath – something revolutionary is more likely to come in 2020.

How much will the iPhone 11 cost?

We’re not expecting a hike in cost for the standard handset, but the iPhone 11 64GB will reportedly come with the same beefy £999 release-day price-tag as the iPhone Xs.

The iPhone 11R is also likely to retail at a similar price to its predecessor (around £749), but the iPhone 11 Max is harder to predict due to the possible inclusion of 5G. If it is compatible with the super-fast network, it could cost around £1350.

What will the iPhone 11 look like?

While the front of the iPhone 11 should look similar to the XS (the notch is here to stay), the new 3-camera-array will be housed in a large raised area on the back.

Bit of an eyebrow raiser, but it’s not like Apple to miss a step when it comes to design so it'll probably look great on the final version.

What features will the iPhone 11 have?

As always, Apple will look to push the boundaries with performance. The new A13 chipset will make it the fastest and most energy efficient iPhone on the market.

The iPhone XR drew plaudits with its long-lasting battery last year and as a result, Apple apparently focused on improving charging across the entire 2019 range. There’s a possibility the iPhone 11 will come with the same USB-C charger that ships with the iPad Pro.

One thing you can bank on is the displays getting an overhaul. The 11R model could be upgraded from an LCD to an OLED screen – which means it’ll be even closer to the premium versions in terms of display quality.

They could also be reinforced with ‘Sapphire Glass’; the supremely strong protective material used on Apple Watches.

The 11 and Max will support cross-charging, enabling you to share your precious percentages with a friend, or charge your EarPods wirelessly. Versatile!

Will it be worth an upgrade?

The iPhone 11 could be a real step-up from the iPhone Xs, but we won’t know for certain until the 10th September.
