What's Covered
  • Damage or smashed screen from an accident. Not including cosmetic damage like scratches and dents which doesn't affect the functionality of your device.
  • Liquid damage.
  • Theft.
  • Covered Worldwide as standard.
  • Mechanical breakdown (once the manufacturer's warranty has run out).
  • Unlimited repairs.
  • 2 replacements per year, per item.
  • Unauthorised network charges up to a maximum of £10,000.
  • Loss cover for just £1.50 per item, per month.
What's Not Covered
  • Loss cover is not available for laptops, MacBooks, desktop PCs or PC monitors.
  • Failure to look after your device. We expect you to take reasonable precautions to keep your gadgets safe from theft, loss, and damage.
  • Replacement or repaired devices being sent beyond the UK. Replacements and repaired items can only be sent to UK addresses.
  • Mechanical breakdown within the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer can help you with device issues when under warranty.
  • More than 2 replacements in a 12 month period for each insured item.
  • Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect the functionality of your device, like surface scratches and dents.

5 Things You Need to Know

Here's some details on excesses and eligibility criteria for our insurance policy

An excess is the amount you will need to pay for any approved claim. The excess amount differs by device type and value, as well as by the claim type made (i.e damage, theft or loss). Excess payments cannot be made via American Express or PayPal
New or Refurbished

New devices must have been purchased directly from a manufacturer, network provider, or retail store (high street or online). We insure refurbished or remanufactured devices when purchased directly from the manufacturer, network provider, or Pocket Geek Tech Repair only.

Device Age
Your first device must be under 6 months old, your second under 12 months and any third or more items must be under 36 months old, when you purchase the policy.
Customer Age
You must be over 18 to purchase our insurance policy
Proof of Ownership
We need to know that the gadget you are claiming for is yours or a family member’s (or owned by the business if this is a business policy). Therefore you will need to provide some form of proof of ownership.

FAQ's
Yes, if your gadget is repaired by us it will come with a 6 month mechanical breakdown warranty (180 days). If your device is replaced it will come with a 12 month mechanical breakdown warranty (365 days)

No – we only cover gadgets that are either purchased as new, or that are purchased refurbished or remanufactured directly from a manufacturer or network provider. Please see our terms and conditions for more information

Yes – your device will be covered worldwide. Please note that repaired devices or replacements can only be sent to UK addresses.
